“The Twin Cities doesn’t experience the steeper highs and lows like some other markets, which is attractive to some investors,” LaFave explained, referencing the region’s strong employment rates and favorable rent-to-income ratios.
He also discussed notable Roers Cos. projects, such as Lexi Apartments in Blaine, Minn., which had an impressive lease-up speed, and The Espen in Oakdale, Minn., the first project constructed by Roers Cos.’ in-house general contracting team. Additionally, LaFave highlighted Roers Cos.’ significant focus on affordable housing, with approximately 50% of developments geared toward low- to moderate-income residents.
