The Roers Cos. Team

Tom joined Roers Companies in 2021 as the CFO, bringing over 20 years of finance, accounting, and tax experience at financial institutions ranging from small community banks to large multinational financial institutions. He has since been promoted to Executive Vice President to reflect a broadened role overseeing multiple departments including accounting, asset management, property management, marketing, IT, and the legal team.

He received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University and a master’s in business taxation from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Tom most recently served as the CFO of Greater Minnesota Housing Fund before joining Roers Cos.

Tom has made a significant impact on the business in a relatively short time, earning him the honor of being selected as one of the Twin Cities Business 2022 Notable CFOs and a Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal 2023 CFO of the Year Honoree. He has overseen the sales of eight multifamily properties totaling nearly $300 million, including the firm’s Twin Cities senior living portfolio and two suburban market-rate apartment properties.
