As Director of Compliance, Sarah Nelson leads compliance operations for Roers Companies’ affordable housing portfolio. She ensures adherence to the LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program and other regulatory requirements. Her role includes overseeing audits and implementing policies that safeguard program integrity and ensure ongoing compliance.

Sarah brings more than 25 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, with specialized expertise in LIHTC, Section 8, and other regulatory programs. Throughout her career, she has led audits, certifications, and policy development across a wide range of portfolios at the federal, state, and local levels.

She holds multiple industry certifications, including COM (Certified Occupancy Manager), TaCCs (Tax Credit Compliance Specialist), AHM (Assisted Housing Manager), and HCCP (Housing Credit Certified Professional).
