Roers Companies recently celebrated the grand opening of Sierra on 66, marking the addition of 221 new affordable apartment homes in the Flagstaff community. A ribbon-cutting ceremony held on December 3 brought together project partners, local leaders, and community stakeholders to recognize the milestone.
Sierra on 66 is a seven-building community dedicated entirely to affordable housing. The property serves households earning up to 60% of the area median income (AMI) and was developed in response to Flagstaff’s need for quality housing.

Sierra on 66 offers residents a thoughtfully designed amenity package. The property features a clubhouse, fitness center, community room, laundry facilities, outdoor courtyards with fire pits and grilling stations, a dog run, bocce ball court, and a tot lot. The community includes a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with a strong emphasis on larger floor plans.
The development was made possible through a combination of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), an Arizona Department of Housing grant, and private investment. The project reflects a successful public-private partnership, developed in collaboration with the City of Flagstaff to help expand access to high-quality affordable housing.
Local media highlighted the impact of Sierra on 66 and the strong demand for affordable housing in the region. The Arizona Daily Sun covered the grand opening. AZFamily also featured the project as part of broader statewide efforts to address housing affordability.
Sierra on 66 followed a phased opening process and continues to welcome new residents. Visit sierraon66.com for additional information about the community, including leasing details.
