The excerpt below appeared in the San Antonio Business Journal article “Midwest developer buys San Antonio apartments with renovations planned” on September 2, 2022 by Ramzi Abou Ghalioum.

“Roers Companies recently bought properties for renovation in San Antonio and Houston, and is getting ready to build a new property in Austin.

The San Antonio property is Rosemont at University Park, a 240-unit apartment complex on the South Side. It was owned by a Public Facility Corporation affiliated with the San Antonio Housing Authority, which recently rebranded as Opportunity Home San Antonio.

Over the coming year, Roers Cos. intends to renovate or build 1,400 affordable units and 900 market-rate units across nine properties in Texas. It also recently closed on a new office in Austin, out of which they will hire around 75 local employees this year for construction and property management services.

“We’re closing on our other properties anywhere from 60 to 180 days from now,” said Vice President of Development Shane LaFave.”
