Brian Roers

Co-CEO & Founder

Brian Roers is a Co-CEO and Founder of Roers Companies. He began his real estate career nearly 25 years ago, gaining hands-on industry experience by purchasing single-family homes, duplexes, and student housing around the University of Minnesota.

Brian double-majored in Management and Accounting at St. John’s University, graduating in 2001. After earning his CPA license in 2002, he co-founded Anderson & Roers CPAs, maintaining a 50% partnership for eight years before launching Roers Cos. with his brother, Kent Roers, in 2012. Today, Brian oversees the firm’s financial strategy and corporate vision that anchor the company’s operations.

Under his leadership, Roers Cos. has evolved into a nationally recognized, fully integrated multifamily real estate firm powered by in-house development, construction, and property management. Roers Cos. has celebrated major milestones, including more than $4 billion in development, 100 project closings, and 16,000 residential units built or under construction across more than a dozen states. The firm has earned national acclaim in recent years, ranking among the top multifamily developers and builders by the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and being named the No. 1 fastest-growing private company in the Twin Cities by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

Beyond the corporate success of Roers Cos., Brian’s individual leadership and entrepreneurial spirit have earned wide recognition. He was named a Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal “40 Under 40” honoree in 2018 and has been named as a repeat finalist for the prestigious Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Heartland region, most recently in 2026. Deeply connected to his alma mater and guided by its core principles, Brian was honored by the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship as the Saint John’s University 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year.
