Roers’ first project within the workforce housing market is Axle Apartments in the northern Twin Cities suburb of Fridley. The aim is for workforce apartments is to rent units at around 80% of the current market rate to make them more affordable for the average worker. At 262 units and $51.5 million, this project is Roers’ largest development to date.

Axle’s apartments will include studios, junior suites, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, and 3-bedroom floor plans. Amenities such as a fitness center, community lounge, underground heated parking, and coffee bar will offer high-demand conveniences. The community is expected to open during Summer 2022.
